Heck they are even more useful when you have to go dig through grandma’s attic maybe even that storage shed out back that you may have chose to neglect for a little too long.

Essentially, without flashlights we would be blind as bats in the dark, which makes them pretty darn necessary.

I know, I personally have about 4 flashlights with my camping and emergency gear!

Of all the flashlights one could find at any retailer or online, we chose two.

They are both very versatile and durable, also, they are quite easy to use! Check ‘em out.

Duracell 2-Pack LED 700 Lumen Flashlight

The next flashlight of focus is the Duracell 2-Pack.

These lights are LED and have a maximum output of 700 lumens.

LED lights are considered to be more practical than standard halogen bulbs, because they are capable of emitting the same amount of light except brighter and at a lower wattage.

Duracell was sure to make this an extremely durable and viable source of light for those looking for a new flashlight.

We find these to be the more affordable, durable and are fairly light due to them being made of aluminum.

FAQ

When were flashlights invented?

Flashlights were invented in 1899 by David Misell invented. The first flashlight contained three D batteries that powered a small incandescent bulb. Nowadays we tend to use flashlights containing LED bulbs, most are still powered by the classic disposable D battery.

What are lumens?

Lumens are used to measure the amount of light emitted from a given LED bulb. The more lumens a bulb contains the brighter the light, the less lumens the dimmer the light. When searching for LED bulbs look at the amount of lumens rather than the wattage.

Halogen vs. LED?

Though halogen bulbs are considered to be the most popular lightbulbs on the market today, they tend to cost more money and use more energy than LED bulbs. We recommend LED bulbs as they last longer, use less energy and cost much less than the traditional halogen bulbs.
